Masters Tokyo Day 2 is here…

Yesterday we had the kick-off for the most hyped-up VALORANT event this year, Champions Tour 2023: VALORANT Masters Tokyo. In yesterday’s post, I made my predictions for the games, and by far I have a 100% win streak. I am confident in my picks, so let’s see what we have for Day 2.

How are the Groups looking for Masters Tokyo Day 2?

Group A

Group B

Games scheduled for today

Today we will only have 2 games, one for each group. After this today’s game, we will have our first qualified team of Group B and the Winner’s Final of Group A. Let’s take a look at the games:

  1. NRG Esports vs Natus Vincere – Opening game for Group A. The winner will face off T1 in the Winner’s Upper Bracket Final, and the loser face off EDward Gaming in the first Elimination Game of Group A.
  2. DRX vs Evil Geniuses – Winner qualifies for playoffs, and the loser gets one more chance at the Decider Game in the lower bracket.

  1. Natus Vincere will advance after winning against NRG Esports in the second Opening Game of Group A. Most people think that NRG is the favorite for this game, and it is true that the OpTic core has been showing an amazing performance lately. However, I think that NAVI is well-known for its results on international events. I think this game is very likely to go to distance, but in the end, NAVI will win.
  2. DRX will win against Evil Geniuses. The North American team has stepped up massively in the previous weeks, and the individual form of their players is getting better every day. However, I think that DRX has been always reinventing the game. Bringing a combination of new starts with high-skilled players executing them. If DRX comes out with something EG was not expecting, it will certainly be hard for them to adapt as they haven’t shown much adaptability in the past during their games
