Masters Tokyo Day 4, the last day of Group Stage…

Yesterday we have one of the best games so far at the VALORANT Champions Tour: Masters Tokyo 2023, with EDward Gaming giving China their first-ever win in an international tournament. Today, some of the best teams in the world will have their last chance to make it to playoffs. Let’s see what we should expect for this last day of the Group Stage!

What team was the second one that qualified for the Playoffs Stage?

  • NRG Esports
    • After a tight game against T1, the North American organization managed to qualify from the upper bracket.

How are the Groups looking for Masters Tokyo Day 4?

Games scheduled for today

  1. DRX vs FUT Esports – The loser is out, and the winner qualifies for the playoffs.
  2. T1 vs EDward Gaming – The loser is out, and the winner qualifies for the playoffs.

Predictions for today’s games

  • DRX vs FUT Esports: DRX will win. They looked shaky against Evil Geniuses, but we know that the South Korean team is well-known for their deep runs at international tournaments. For me, they are the favorites for this matchup, as their rivals FUT Esports even lost a map against Attacking Soul Esports, who have way less level than DRX. Surely the Turkish team can shoot back and they won’t make it easy, but in the end, DRX will continue on the tournament, qualifying for the playoffs stage.
  • T1 vs EDward Gaming: EDward Gaming will win. A rematch where both Asian teams will have their last opportunity to get to the playoffs stage. After seeing yesterday’s performance out of EDG, I feel confident saying that EDward Gaming is motivated and they have been playing exceptionally well. Again, I expect a hell of a performance out of Zheng “ZmjjKK” Yongkang and Zhang “Smoggy” Zhao.
