After witnessing the Counter-Strike legacies of Team Liquid, Astralis, FaZe Clan, and NAVI throughout the last decade, we have got new legends in town to rule the new CS 2 era. Team Vitality has shown unparalleled dominance in 2023 and they kept it going at the BLAST Premier: World Finals.

As the French side came into the tournament fresh off annihilating FaZe in the Fall Final, they began their World Finals journey with the same momentum. They first thrashed NAVI and Cloud9 in the group stage, before getting better of the Ukrainian side again in the semifinals.

On the other side of the single-elimination bracket, FaZe went head-to-head against MOUZ in the semifinal. Thanks to brilliant performances from Håvard ‘rain’ Nygaard and Slovakia David ‘frozen’ Čerňanský, FaZe handily secured a 2-0 victory and a ticket to the Grand Final. Unlike the semi-finals, the championship match turned out to be a nightmare for the North American team.
