Masters Tokyo Upper Semi-Finals
VALORANT Champions Tour: Masters Tokyo 2023 it’s getting more intense each day. Yesterday we had some games that surprised more than one. We are now at the Upper Semi-Finals, where two teams will secure their place at the Upper Semi-Final. This secures nothing, and even the strongest teams have felt in this tournament. Let’s see what is waiting for us today!
What games will we see today at the Masters Tokyo Upper Semi-Finals?
A very nice mix of regions has made it to this stage of the tournament. North America, EMEA, Pacific, and also China have their representation so far. Today, we will have games between NA and EMEA, and Pacific vs EMEA.
- Evil Geniuses will keep their winning streak by beating Team Liquid.
- The North American roster has been performing amazingly in their most recent game. This game against Team Liquid will be their hardest challenge so far. Earlier in the tournament, I would remark on the performance of Max “Demon1” Mazanov, but after watching them play. Now I just have to talk about EG as the strongest team in NA, with no individuals to highlight. Every single player has been popping off, and they seem motivated to keep knocking out the biggest teams in the world. With all of their players performing at a very high level, this will be an intense game for sure. Team Liquid is one of the strongest teams in EMEA, the strongest region in the world in my opinion. I think EG will knock down TL as they are performing at the highest level and they are feeling confident and motivated.
- FNATIC will defeat Paper Rex.
- FNATIC is, in my opinion, the strongest team in the world. Watching them play is pure satisfaction, as they always look coordinated, every player has an established role and they look like they know what to do and react to anything that happens in the round. I think that Jake “Boaster” Howlett is always innovating and proposing new ideas, and this is fantastic to keep them on top and unpredictable. Even tho Paper Rex is really strong, and they’re the strongest team in the Pacific League, without Ilya “something” Petrov, for me the strongest player in the team, it will be hard.
